The light tackle boats are the most versatile of all the   charter boats in Key West.  These boats range from 23ft to 28ft.  They are quick and can fish from inshore to offshore.  Light tackle does not mean small fish, it just means you will be fishing with light line.  We normally fish with as light as 8lb test and as heavy as 30lb test.   We focus on tarpon, permit, sailfish, tuna, dolphin, wahoo, cobia, snapper, grouper, kingfish and a few others. Pretty much fishing for everything except bonefish.

Key West light tackle fishing guides fish everything from the shallow water in the backcountry, wrecks and reefs in the Gulf or Atlantic, to the deep waters offshore in the Atlantic ocean.  The light tackle boats in Key West are mostly live bait specialist.  This also helps improve your odds of catching plenty of fish on your Key West fishing charter.
